How having a positive outlook and believing that you can do it will lead you to your muse
"THE LONGER I LIVE, THE MORE I REALIZE THE IMPACT OF ATTITUDE ON LIFE. ATTITUDE TO ME IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN FACTS.... WE CANNOT CHANGE OUR PAST...WE CANNOT CHANGE THE FACT THAT PEOPLE WILL ACT IN A CERTAIN WAY. WE CANNOT CHANGE THE INEVITABLE. THE ONLY THING WE CAN DO IS PLAY ON THE STRING WE HAVE, AND THAT IS OUR ATTITUDE. I AM CONVINCED THAT LIFE IS 10 PERCENT WHAT HAPPENS TO ME AND 90 PERCENT HOW I REACT TO IT. AND SO IT IS WITH YOU... WE ARE IN CHARGE OF OUR ATTITUDES."
In order to find your muse, you need to stay positive that you will find it. If you approach your work with the mindset that you will not be inspired, the chances are you will not. Believe that your inspiration is just around the corner and now go out there and grab it.
You can do it
My little puppy is one little furry ball of positivity. Even though he is barely big enough to get his paws on the top cushion of the couch, he somehow finds the will power to pull himself up onto it. It is as if the little bugger is so positive that he can get up on the couch that it does not even matter that he should not be able too. It is amazing to watch him get up there too. You can see the grim determinism on his face as he pulls his little chubby body up and over onto the couch.
He has even found a way to climb over the puppy play pen that we keep him in while we are away. I do not know what type of ninja skills he possesses, but every time we come home, the pen is empty, and there he is, happily perched on the couch. I just wish I could put as much as a positivity into his potty training as he does into his feats of climbing and escaping, but that being said, there is something to be learned from his positive couch climbing outlook.
When it comes to finding your muse, you need to have the same positive outlook as my puppy. You need to have the confidence in yourself that you will find the inspiration you need to be creative; otherwise you will never making onto the couch of creative inspiration and find yourself stuck on the floor forever.
“I believe that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it.”- Charles Swindoll
If you do not go into the creative process believing that you will find your muse, chances are that you will never be able to find it. Having a positive attitude that something good is going to come out of your creative efforts will help stoke the flames of inspiration. Knowing that your muse is just around the next corner, will not only give you the will power to keep going, but also help draw that creative inspiration to you.
